The combined Orlando/Longwood Chapters Meeting is held the 2nd Tuesday of every Month. The meeting takes place at 7 PM the SanLando United Methodist Church, 1890 West State Rd. 434 – Longwood, FL  32750   The Orlando Chapter 1604 is looking for leadership that can facilitate meetings and events. Memorial Day Picnic and Butterfly Release Memorial Service and Butterfly Release followed by our picnic and a raffle of butterfly items. There will be a special sharing table for you to bring pictures of your beloved children. What to bring: A covered dish or finger food to share and a butterfly gift for the raffle. Tendremos una reunión especial para las familias de Pulse.

El grupo “The Compassionate Friends” quiere extender sus condolencias a todas las familias y amigos de aquellos que murieron trágicamente en el club Pulse, el pasado 12 de Junio de este año. Nuestra organización es la organización más grande, mundialmente reconocida por el soporte y ayuda emocional que ofrecemos a familias que han perdido un hijo/a, nieto/a, o hermano/a, no importa la causa. Nuestros servicios son gratuitos y confidenciales.

Nuestro grupo local, The Compassionate Friends of Longwood, sirve a la comunidad de Orlando. La próxima reunión será el martes 21 de junio en Sanlando United Methodist Church a las 7 de la noche. La dirección es 1890 w state road 434, Longwood, Fl.

Special meeting for the Families of the Pulse Tragedy.

The Compassionate Friends wishes to extend our deepest condolences and sympathy to all of the families and friends affected by the tragic incident at Pulse night club on June 12th of 2016. Our organization is the largest in the world offering peer-to-peer grief support to families grieving the death of a child, grandchild or sibling from any cause at any age and all of our services are free.

Our local chapter, The Compassionate Friends of Longwood, serves the Greater Orlando Area. Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 21st at the Sanlando United Methodist Church in 1890 W State Road 434. Longwood, FL 32750 at 7PM 

We have a special meeting for the bereaved who are with us for the 1st time and we have hispanic members who help facilitate our meetings.

What to Expect at a TCF Meeting

Generally, The Orlando Chapter of Compassionate Friends meets once a month from 7 to 9 pm the first Tuesday of the month. Our meetings should not be confused with counseling sessions. Participants are all bereaved parents (guardians), siblings, or grandparents who are dealing with the death of a child. We have been where you are and we continue to return to offer friendship and support through the natural grieving process after a child dies. ANNUAL CANDLE LIGHTING MEMORIAL SERVICE
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2016 @ 6:15 PM

This is an event for each of us to remember our children, grandchildren, and siblings. The service is a celebration of their lives as well as our love for them. If you have never attended a TCF meeting or event before, we welcome and encourage you to attend this very special occasion.
